Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Rack Assembler specializing in 19" EIA (Electronic Industries Alliance) Racks! In this energetic role, you will be an essential part of the assembly process, transforming raw materials and components into high-quality, durable racks used in telecommunications, data centers, and broadcasting environments. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to work within a fast-paced factory setting, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and assembly skills to contribute to reliable product delivery. Based on our government contracts, US Citizenship is required. Responsibilities Assemble 19" EIA racks according to detailed specifications and engineering drawings, ensuring all components are correctly fitted and secured. Use various hand tools and power tools to assemble, modify, and install rack components efficiently and safely. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to transport raw materials, finished products, and assembly parts within the manufacturing facility. Conduct quality inspections throughout the assembly process to verify alignment with manufacturing standards and technical requirements. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to meet production targets while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship. Interpret engineering drawings/blueprints and technical terms Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on processes or equipment issues that could enhance productivity or safety. Solder Certified (J-STD-001 preferred)Structured Cabling:
Route, terminate and test Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a cables following TIA/EIA Standard. Install and Connect power distribution units (PDU's) Experience Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly preferred, especially within an assembly line environment. Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks. Warehouse experience involving forklift operation is desirable; certification is a plus. Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, or specifications related to rack assemblies. Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity for precise assembly work. Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting that requires adaptability and teamwork.
