Job Description
Aluminum Gate & Fence Fabricator / WelderJob Summary We are seeking an experienced Aluminum Gate & Fence Fabricator / Welder to join our fabrication team. This position focuses primarily on the fabrication of custom aluminum gates, fences, railings, and related products . The ideal candidate must be experienced with aluminum fabrication and capable of measuring, cutting, fitting, welding, assembling, and finishing custom projects accurately. We are looking for a skilled fabricator who can work from field measurements, drawings, sketches, and shop plans and produce clean, straight, square, professional-quality work. Responsibilities Fabricate custom aluminum gates, fences, railings, and fence panels . Build sliding gates, swing gates, pedestrian gates, driveway gates, privacy gates, and custom fence sections. Measure, mark, cut, fit, square, weld, and assemble aluminum materials. Work with aluminum tubing, posts, channels, pickets, slats, plates, and other components. Perform clean and consistent MIG and TIG aluminum welding . Read and understand shop drawings, sketches, field measurements, and fabrication specifications. Properly square and align gate frames before final welding. Maintain accurate dimensions, spacing, clearances, and finished sizes. Fabricate and install hinges, brackets, tracks, rollers, guide systems, stops, and other gate hardware. Grind, clean, and finish fabricated products to a professional standard. Prepare completed aluminum products for powder coating or finishing . Inspect finished products for weld quality, measurements, alignment, appearance, and overall workmanship. Safely operate saws, welders, grinders, drills, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fabrication area. Assist with field installations when necessary. Requirements Aluminum fabrication experience required. Previous experience fabricating gates, fences, railings, or similar aluminum products strongly preferred. Strong aluminum welding skills. Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding . Ability to accurately read a tape measure and work with feet, inches, and fractions. Ability to fabricate from drawings, measurements, and specifications. Knowledge of proper cutting, fitting, squaring, welding, and assembly techniques. Ability to identify and correct warped, uneven, or out-of-square fabrication. Experience using fabrication shop equipment and power tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to clean workmanship. Must be reliable, punctual, productive, and able to work independently.
