Enclosure Shop Assembler Job Description This role involves assembling and finishing metal generator enclosures in either the main enclosure shop or the finish department. You work with your hands using a variety of hand and power tools to complete daily assigned tasks, contributing directly to the fabrication, assembly, and final preparation of high-quality metal enclosures. Responsibilities Assemble metal generator enclosures in the enclosure shop using hand tools and power tools. Perform final assembly and finishing work on completed enclosures in the finish department. Read and follow basic blueprints or work instructions to complete assigned tasks accurately. Use carpentry, fabrication, and general construction techniques to build and repair enclosure components. Inspect work for quality, ensuring all parts are properly aligned, secured, and finished. Support production workflows by organizing materials, components, and tools for daily tasks. Operate safely in an industrial environment, following all safety procedures and wearing required protective equipment. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including proper storage of tools and materials. Perform basic repairs or adjustments to assemblies as needed to meet quality standards. Essential Skills Hands-on experience using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and measuring tools. Proficiency with power tools including drills, saws, grinders, and similar equipment. Ability to work in fabrication, assembly, or production environments with metal components. Basic understanding of carpentry or construction methods applicable to assembly work. Capability to read and follow simple blueprints or diagrams. Comfort working in an industrial setting both indoors and outdoors. Commitment to following safety procedures, including the use of safety glasses and steel-toe footwear. Strong manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistent quality. Ability to work as part of a team and support production goals. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in construction, carpentry, or concrete work is highly transferable. Background in landscaping or general labor that involves physical, hands-on tasks. Exposure to metal working or fabrication processes. Prior experience in assembly or repair work within an industrial or manufacturing environment. Ability to adapt to different departments such as the finish department or enclosure shop based on skills. Willingness to learn new fabrication and assembly techniques. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
