Min Experience:
$18.00/hour The Metal Building Assembler is responsible for assisting with the assembly and installation of pre-engineered metal buildings, red iron structures, agricultural buildings, commercial buildings, garages, shops, and related structures. The position works as part of a construction crew to safely assemble structural steel, framing, roof and wall systems, doors, trim, and other building components according to construction drawings, manufacturer specifications, and company standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with unloading, organizing, and staging metal building materials. Review plans, drawings, material lists, and installation instructions. Assist with building layout and measurements. Assemble and install steel columns, beams, rafters, purlins, girts, bracing, and framing components. Install structural bolts, screws, brackets, clips, and other hardware. Install metal roof and wall panels. Install ridge caps, corner trim, base trim, eave trim, closures, flashing, and other accessories. Install doors, windows, framed openings, and related components when required. Measure, cut, drill, fit, and fasten construction materials. Use hand tools and power tools safely and properly. Assist with setting and aligning structural steel. Maintain proper dimensions, alignment, level, and plumb during construction. Operate or assist with lifts, forklifts, telehandlers, and other equipment when properly trained and authorized. Work from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and elevated work areas. Assist with material handling and rigging operations. Maintain a clean and organized jobsite. Protect customer property, materials, tools, and equipment. Follow project schedules and instructions from the foreman. Perform quality-control checks throughout the installation. Report damaged materials, missing components, unsafe conditions, or construction problems to the foreman. Complete additional construction duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Construction experience preferred but not always required. Ability to use basic hand and power tools. Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic measurements. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work safely as part of a construction crew. Reliable transportation to jobsites. Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions. Ability to work at heights. Strong attendance and punctuality. Willingness to learn metal building installation procedures.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
