Job Description
Job Summary JCS Engineering is seeking a Production Welder / Fabricator to join our manufacturing team in Cartersville, GA. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and welding metal components using MIG welding processes in a production environment. This position will primarily involve welding and assembling automotive returnable steel racks using fixtures, locating jigs, tubing assemblies, and other fabrication equipment. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality work, follows safety procedures, and is committed to meeting production schedules and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Set up and perform MIG welding on carbon steel components and automotive returnable steel racks. Assemble and weld parts according to blueprints, drawings, and schematics. Properly use fixtures, locating jigs, and other production equipment. Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and customer specifications. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Meet daily production and quality requirements. Identify and communicate quality or production issues. Assist with assembly, material handling, warehouse operations, and other production duties as needed. Participate in continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency . Qualifications Previous MIG welding experience , preferably with carbon steel. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics. Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred. Mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Safety-conscious and dependable. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to meet production schedules and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus. Why Join JCS Engineering?
