J&B Flatbed Service is looking to fill a Shed Assembler/Mover position. This will be a full time position based throughout the Treasure Valley. We are a transportation company as well so there will be other hauling potentially. Clean driving record, valid drivers license and the ability to drive with a trailer is required. This is a non cdl position. Must be able to pass a pre employment drug test and have a clean driving record. Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shed Assembler to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and finishing sheds and small structures according to detailed plans and specifications. Your expertise in carpentry, woodworking, and construction techniques will ensure that each project is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of residential projects, utilizing your hands-on skills and construction knowledge to deliver quality craftsmanship. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately assemble sheds and related structures. Use hand tools, power tools for woodworking, and woodworking machines to cut, shape, assemble, and finish components. Perform heavy lifting of building materials such as wood, metal studs, concrete blocks and pre assembled walls. Install doors, windows, trim carpentry elements, flooring, siding, and other structural or aesthetic components. Ensure all work complies with safety standards including power tool safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to project timelines; communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, carpentry or woodworking within residential or light commercial projects. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for woodworking as well as operating woodworking machinery safely. Strong understanding of construction plans and technical drawings; ability to interpret technical specifications accurately. Knowledge of various construction materials including wood construction materials, drywall, stucco, caulking compounds, rebar for concrete forms, and metal studs. Experience with framing (including frame carpentry), door hanging, cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying or similar tasks is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; physically capable of working on-site in various weather conditions. Familiarity with restoration industry practices such as plastering or re-stucco work is a plus. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong communication skills; a proactive approach to safety and quality assurance.
