Job Description

Working Hours/Days 6:00AM - 2:30PM; Monday - Friday Overview The Assembler is responsible for building and assembling generator set units, enclosures and related components in a shop environment. This role works directly with production, engineering, and operations to assemble quality products safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, dependable, and comfortable working with tools, drawings, and physical tasks. Basic Duties Assemble generator set packages, enclosures and packaged components using hand tools, shop equipment, and material‑handling devices. Perform basic electrical and mechanical assembly work per drawings and work instructions. Read and interpret engineering drawings and assembly documentation. Work closely with production supervisors to meet build schedules and quality expectations. Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety requirements. Support general shop and warehouse tasks as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to read and understand engineering or shop drawings preferred Prior experience using hand tools and common shop tools required Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn new skills Dependable, productive, and able to work effectively as part of a team Strong communication and basic interpersonal skills Must provide personal hand tools Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and regularly climb ladders and stairs Valid driver's license required (motor vehicle report required for final candidate) Altorfer Inc. offers an industry leading compensation and benefit package: Health, Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life Insurance 401(k) and Additional 401(k)

$23.25 - $37.54 per hour Posted Min USD $23.25/Hr. Posted Max USD $37.54/Hr. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions This position works in a shop environment with some outside exposure. May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 75lbs. The wearing of approved safety equipment ( i.e. safety glasses with side shields and steel toe footwear) is required. Noise level is usually moderate to high. May intermittently sit at a desk to answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through email.
