Job Description

We have an opening for Systems Assembler on 1st Shift. The opening is on 1st Shift and works Monday - Friday 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. The rate of pay for this position is $23.08/ hr.
SYSTEMS ASSEMBLER JOB SUMMARY
Receives instructions from foreman and group leader. Perform many operations such as making of subassemblies, component boards, stamping component boards, silk screen cabinets, mounting parts to chassis, wiring of components with a wiring harness and making solder connections. All work down to form a neat appearing unit of good quality. Able to read simple wiring diagrams and pictorial drawings to assemble units. Able to correctly use a variety of hand tools such as long nose pliers, diagonal cutters, screwdrivers, soldering iron and solder aids, wrenches, air screwdrivers, and nut drivers which are common for mounting parts and making solder connections. Performs all Demand Flow Technology (DFT) operations. Read, use, and follow manufacturing documentation and instructions and perform all operations in a quality manner. Performs multiple operations, setups, material acquisitions, and preventative maintenance, including the operation of multiple DFT techniques and functions. Continually improves process to address customer.

RESPONSBILITIES
  • Cooperates and actively participates to improve the DFT process.
  • Moves to any DFT work station to maintain the production flow within classification.
  • When necessary, to maintain production flow, release/request material from internal sources and perform any material replenishment to retrieve, pick, and move stock requirements for a DFT operation.
  • Assist and do training of others at DFT work stations.
  • Build and repair products, maintain schedules, participate in planning and complete them on time to satisfy the customer requirements.
  • Use various tools to collect, review, report, retrieve, and enter information as required.
  • Do daily preventative maintenance and communicate with maintenance department and service personnel on major repairs on various equipment.
  • Perform all operations pertaining to DFT finished product.
  • Perform specific tasks identified in manufacturing instructions including but not limited to the touch for quality process.
  • Do verification of products and production processes.
  • Maintains a clean, orderly workstation free of articles not part of the DFT process.
  • When necessary, to maintain production flow, performs DFT operations outside the classification.
  • Complete all duties previously performed by the Systems Systems Assembler which are not specifically described above.
  • Also does system assembly repair.

COMPENSATION
Hourly Wage of $23.08 The collective bargaining agreement sets the wages indicated. E.O.E.
