Job Description The Mission Critical Group team in Brookston, Indiana specializes in designing and building custom electrical switchgear and controls for a variety of applications. We engineer, build, and deploy specialized switchgear and control systems for the power generation industry. We are agile, fast-paced, and our goal is to provide our customers with clever, cost-effective products and solutions. Under the direct supervision of the Shop Manager, the Assembly Technician performs wiring, assembly, and installation work on assigned switchgear at a basic level. The Assembly Technician will follow specific schedules and procedures including safety protocol, installation processes, and other instructions. Job Responsibilities Proper utilization of all common, electrical, and carpentry shop tools Assembly of electrical sheet metal enclosures Computer literacy Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary or other assigned duties Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent OR relevant experience At least 1 year of experience/familiarity with working in the electrical, mechanical, or assembly industry is required Work well in a team environment. Neat and tidy in work done Responsible for personal and area safety as well as general housekeeping Lift up to 50 pounds Basic computer literacy Satisfactory completion of additional background screening (if applicable). Valid drivers license Preferred certifications (OSHA10, CPR)
