Job Title:
Production Assembler Job Description This role offers the opportunity to work in a clean, well-lit manufacturing facility in the northern Indianapolis area, assembling mechanical and electrical components on first shift. You will use hand and power tools, follow basic blueprints, and support a culture of organization and continuous improvement while contributing to high-quality production output. Responsibilities Use pneumatic and hand tools such as ratchets, torque guns, and putty knives to assemble various components according to specifications. Read and interpret basic blueprints to correctly assemble products and subassemblies. Perform mechanical assembly tasks with accuracy and attention to detail. Support electrical assembly tasks as needed to complete finished products. Maintain a clean, organized work area by following 5S principles and housekeeping standards. Stand for the majority of the shift and regularly lift materials and components as part of the assembly process. Inspect assembled components for quality, ensuring products meet established standards before moving to the next stage. Follow all safety procedures when using hand tools, power tools, and equipment. Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or defects to appropriate personnel. Essential Skills Proven experience with mechanical assembly in a manufacturing or similar environment. Ability to safely and effectively use hand tools and power tools, including ratchets, torque guns, and putty knives. Capability to read and follow basic blueprints and assembly instructions. Experience maintaining cleanliness and organization in the work area using 5S or similar methodologies. Physical ability to stand for the duration of the shift and regularly lift materials as required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions consistently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, or related mechanic work. Familiarity with industrial or manufacturing environments. Comfort working with both mechanical and electrical components. Willingness to learn new tools, processes, and assembly techniques. Strong teamwork and communication skills to support a collaborative production environment. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a very clean, well-lit manufacturing facility in the northern Indianapolis area, operating on a first-shift schedule. You will work on the production floor using pneumatic and hand tools, power tools, and other standard assembly equipment. The environment emphasizes 5S practices, organization, and safety. Work is hands-on and active, involving constant standing and regular lifting of materials throughout the shift. Attire is typical for a production environment, suitable for working with tools and machinery while following all required safety and protective equipment guidelines Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Noblesville, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
