LTR Design Incorporated is looking for skilled, mechanically minded people who want to build, fabricate, and learn. We are hiring a Welder / Fabrication Technician for our Pittsboro, Indiana production operation. This is a hands-on manufacturing position for someone with welding or fabrication experience - or a strong mechanical background and the drive to learn a skilled trade. You will work with modern fabrication equipment while helping produce high-quality components and assemblies from raw material through finished production.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK WITH MIG
/ wire welding and general metal fabrication. Press brake setup and operation for forming fabricated parts. Drill press, saws, grinders, fixtures, measuring tools, and common shop equipment. Laser-cut and plasma-cut components and related fabrication processes. Basic machine work, part preparation, fitting, finishing, and quality inspection. Modern welding technology, including robotic welding functions and automated processes.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Previous welding, fabrication, manufacturing, machining, automotive, agricultural, or mechanical experience is preferred. Experience with a wire welder is highly valued; press brake or metal-forming experience is a plus. Mechanical aptitude, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to learn new equipment and processes. Ability to read measurements accurately; blueprint or fabrication drawing experience is a plus. Pride in workmanship, attention to detail, and a strong focus on producing quality parts. Dependable, self-motivated, safety-minded, and able to work effectively with a production team.
WE WILL TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON
Hands-on training with our latest welding and fabrication equipment. Training on robotic welding functions and automated welding processes. Press brake operation, setup, and forming techniques can be taught. Opportunities to cross-train in additional manufacturing and production skills.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Starting pay based on experience, skill level, and qualifications. Paid time off available after 90 days of employment. Benefit options available based on individual employee needs and eligibility.
