Production Assembler Job Description The Production Assembler builds glass doors and frames for commercial refrigeration units by assembling fabricated parts and mechanisms using hand and power tools. This role focuses on producing high-quality products that consistently meet established production specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements in a fast-paced, assembly line environment. Responsibilities Assemble fabricated parts and mechanisms to produce glass doors and frames for commercial refrigeration units using hand and power tools. Follow production specifications, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure products meet required standards. Measure and verify components accurately using a tape measure to maintain precise dimensions and fit. Inspect assembled products for quality, ensuring they meet established standards before moving to the next stage of production. Work efficiently on an assembly line to meet daily production goals and timelines. Handle general labor tasks associated with the assembly process, including material handling and workstation organization. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety guidelines. Lift, move, and position parts and products weighing up to 50 lbs with assistance repeatedly throughout the workday. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work, report issues, and support continuous improvement. Adhere to all safety procedures and use tools and equipment properly to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED. Strong manual dexterity for handling small parts and using hand and power tools. Attention to detail to ensure accurate assembly and adherence to specifications. Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. Capability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs with assistance throughout a 10-hour shift. Ability to work 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Good oral and written communication skills for effective teamwork and documentation. Comfort working in a production and assembly line environment. Experience using hand and power tools in a mechanical assembly or general labor setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes and working with fabricated parts. Ability to interpret basic blueprints or production drawings. Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is beneficial. Reliability and strong work ethic to meet production goals and maintain consistent attendance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkton, KY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
