Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
: The Upholstery Assembler position is responsible for putting the vinyl covers and or carpet on the production and warranty components and securing them in place.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Installs components on to sub-straights using various stretching, pulling and shaping techniques Completes work and inspects finished product for quality. Performs various manual assembly operations such as: trimming, hinge installation, and foam gluing. Identifies components for each task. Operates and performs daily cleaning and maintenance on various assembly machines such as: snap, hydem machine, screw guns, drills and staple guns. Identifies direction of nap of carpet.
ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED. EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Degree Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY
Ability for rapid mental and muscular Depth perception and distance Coordination simultaneously Quality minded

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT
: Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
