Position Summary The Assembly Technician is responsible for performing precise, hands-on final assembly work on lightning protection products. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, comfort working with hand tools and adhesives, and the ability to follow documented manufacturing procedures consistently. The ideal candidate brings a background in electronics or PCB assembly and holds a current soldering certification. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Scrape and prepare paint from components using hot-water immersion processes per documented work instructions Measure and cut segments to specified lengths using precision rulers and cutting tools Apply double-sided adhesive tape to components per assembly drawings and specifications Mix and apply epoxy to bond dimpled washers to assemblies, ensuring proper cure times and bond quality Perform visual inspections and quality checks on completed assemblies to verify workmanship standards Maintain clean, organized workstations and follow all shop safety procedures Document completed work, including lot/serial traceability and inspection records Identify and communicate any non-conformances or process deviations to supervision Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to assembly processes and tooling Required Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related hands-on production environment Current soldering certification (J-STD-001 or equivalent) Demonstrated experience in electronics assembly and/or PCB assembly operations Proficiency with hand tools, precision measuring instruments (rulers, calipers), and cutting tools Experience working with adhesives, epoxies, and bonding processes Ability to read and follow assembly drawings, work instructions, and specifications Strong attention to detail with a commitment to consistent, high-quality workmanship Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive manual tasks Preferred Qualifications IPC training and/or certification (IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or similar) Experience with composite materials or laminate handling Familiarity with aerospace or wind energy manufacturing quality standards Experience with lot traceability, traveler documentation, or MES systems ESD awareness training Work Environment This position works in a shop/production environment. The technician will handle adhesives, epoxies, and work with hot water as part of standard processes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and required. The role involves standing, bending, and fine manual dexterity throughout the shift.

$23.00 - $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
