Job Description

job summary: Our client, a leader in the aerospace industry, is looking for a Senior Spacecraft Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) Technician. Key qualifications include 8 to 15 years of experience successfully conducting spacecraft AI&T operations on major programs for a commercial entity, as well as experience in quality assurance. Certification to IPC-620 with the Space Addendum is highly preferred.

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico job type: Contract salary: $48 - 56 per hour work hours: 8am to 4pm education: No Degree Required responsibilities:
Precision Spacecraft Assembly:
Lead the mechanical and electrical assembly of mission-critical systems, including spacecraft structures, propulsion components, avionics, and complex wire harnesses.
System Integration & Standards:
Integrate sub-systems into full spacecraft assemblies using engineering drawings and "travelers," while performing specialized tasks like torqueing, soldering, and connector mating to aerospace standards.
Controlled Environment Management:
Strictly enforce ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety, contamination control, and cleanroom protocols to ensure the integrity of flight hardware during handling.
Testing & Data Analysis:
Execute qualification and acceptance testing using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.) and analyze results to define necessary changes in testing equipment or manufacturing processes.
Lifecycle Documentation & Reporting:
Manage the end-to-end documentation of test cases, failure reports, and quality control data, providing regular progress updates on program requirements.
