Position Summary The Assembler is responsible for performing daily assembly operations, ensuring industrial equipment is assembled safely, accurately, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This role follows drawings, work instructions, and specifications while coordinating with team members and supervisors to keep production on schedule. The ideal candidate is a hands-on team player with mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety, quality, and productivity. Responsibilities Perform daily assembly operations for industrial equipment manufacturing Assemble equipment according to drawings, work instructions, specifications, and quality requirements Follow assigned work orders and adjust pace as needed to meet production schedules Follow safe work practices, proper use of PPE, and compliance with company safety policies Communicate with production planning, quality, maintenance, materials, and shipping teams to resolve issues and maintain workflow Identify and report assembly problems, material shortages, tooling issues, and process bottlenecks to your supervisor Maintain consistent productivity, quality, and attendance standards Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, efficiency, 5S, and standard work Participate in team meetings and stay informed on priorities and expectations Maintain accurate production records and labor tracking as required Help create a positive, respectful, and accountable work environment Qualifications 1+ years of manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferred, ideally in industrial equipment, machinery, metal fabrication, or a related environment Mechanical aptitude and ability to read and understand drawings, bills of materials, work instructions, and basic technical documentation Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work as part of a team and follow direction in a fast-paced production environment Basic computer skills a plus Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work in a manufacturing environment as required Preferred Qualifications Experience in a mid-sized or larger manufacturing company Exposure to Lean manufacturing, 5S, kaizen, or continuous improvement practices Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification Technical degree, trade school training, or equivalent hands-on experience Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs; participation in team lifts for heavier components. Ability to work in a shop environment subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations (heat/cold). Physical stamina to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for the duration of a shift. Candidates must pass a post-offer drug screening.
