Location:
Clarence, New York Job Summary:
Assembles a variety of products. Fits and/or assembles, adjusts and repairs subassemblies and major assemblies. Job complexity ranges from simple, repetitive tasks to fairly repetitive but difficult tasks depending upon product. Requires use of a wide range of hand and power tools both electrical and mechanical.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review work orders or blueprints to ensure work are performed according to specifications. Visually or metrically inspects assembly for conformance to instructions. Repeats actions for all of the same product type each time assembled. Follows oral/written instructions to connect two or more parts of a product.
Non-essential Duties:
Communicates with supervisor and other assemblers. Assists in other production areas as needed. Accurately completes daily labor card and submits at conclusion of shift. Follows all safety procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Reads and accurately interprets blueprints Possesses basic technical knowledge of hand and power tools and their safe operation Able to position and manipulate parts and assemblies with the hands demonstrating manual dexterity Able to follow directions precisely and perform repetitive tasks Ability to comprehend and initiate solutions to complications as they arise.
Experience and Education:
High School Diploma or
GED 1 - 2
years manufacturing experience Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements:
Machine shop work environment; dust, grease and metal shavings common. Requires the use of the following personal protective equipment when on the shop floor: Safety glasses, steel toed shoes/boots.
Must be able to:
Work safely in a fast paced environment Work overtime, including weekends as requested.
