A Production Fabricator or Assembler constructs and assembles a wide range of products, such as engines, computers, aircraft, ships, boats, toys, electronic devices, and control panels, as well as the individual parts that make up these products.
Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a reliable, safety-minded Metal Fabrication Assembler to join our production team in Hilliard, Ohio. In this role, you will play a critical part in our heavy manufacturing process by supporting Press Brake Operators and assisting in the movement, staging, and initial assembly of large steel products. Key Responsibilities Press Brake Support:
Assist primary operators with loading, positioning, holding, and unloading large, heavy steel plates and sheet metal during bending operations.
Assembly & Staging:
Fit, align, and stage steel components for downstream welding or final assembly using basic hand tools, power tools, and clamps.
Quality & Measurement:
Read tape measures down to standard fractional increments (e.g., 1/16") to verify product dimensions against basic blueprints or work orders.
Material Handling:
Safely lift, maneuver, and transport heavy metal components across the shop floor using proper manual lifting techniques and overhead cranes or hoist systems (training provided).
Shop Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace adhering to strict OSHA and company safety standards.
