The Parts Dealer manufactures and sells automotive interior restoration parts under multiple brands. Our thermoformed plastic parts ship to customers across the country who are restoring the cars and trucks they love. Every part has to fit right and look right, and that starts at the trim bench. As a Plastic Parts Trimmer, you'll be one of the first sets of eyes on every part we make. You'll inspect thermoformed parts fresh off the mold, trim them out using hand and air tools, sand and finish them, and build assemblies before they move on to our paint department. What You'll Do Inspect formed parts for defects before starting any trim work Trim thermoformed parts out of the web using hand and pneumatic tools Sand, deburr, and finish edges and surfaces so parts are ready for paint Operate air tools including die grinders, sanders, and cutting wheels safely and correctly Assemble multi-piece parts and components according to product specs Inspect your finished work before sending it downstream Communicate recurring defects so problems can be fixed at the source Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe What We're Looking For Excellent attention to detail and a sharp eye for flaws Strong hand skills and hand-eye coordination A safety-first mindset around sharp tools and power tools Ability to follow fixtures, specs, and instructions accurately Reliability and punctuality Ability to stand for long periods, work with your hands for a full shift, and regularly lift 40 to 50 lbs Working and communicating well with others No experience required.
