Climate-Controlled Manufacturing Facility This Is Not a Typical Assembly Position We are hiring Final Assembly Technicians for a specialized manufacturing department in Oklahoma City. This is not a traditional assembly-line position where you perform the same task all day, every day. Final Assembly is one of the most hands-on and physically demanding areas of the manufacturing process. The work can change from day to day depending on the equipment being built, production needs, and the stage of the project. Employees in this department help complete large, custom-built commercial equipment using hand tools, power tools, measurements, mechanical components, and carpentry-related skills . We are looking for candidates who are dependable, physically capable, comfortable working with tools, willing to learn, and ready to work. What You'll Be Doing As a Final Assembly Technician, you may be responsible for: Completing final assembly of large commercial equipment and components Using a variety of hand tools and power tools throughout the workday Measuring, cutting, fitting, positioning, and fastening materials and components Reading and accurately using a tape measure Following drawings, diagrams, production instructions, and specifications Installing different components depending on the equipment being manufactured Lifting, positioning, and maneuvering heavy materials during assembly Performing basic carpentry-style assembly and fabrication work Making adjustments to components to ensure proper fit and alignment Inspecting completed work for quality and accuracy Identifying problems and correcting basic assembly issues Working closely with other team members to complete custom projects Maintaining an organized and safe work area Following all established production and safety procedures Learning new assembly processes as production needs change Assisting with additional production responsibilities as needed What We're Looking For This position requires more than simply standing at an assembly line. Required Skills Candidates must be able to: Read a tape measure accurately Safely operate common hand tools Safely operate basic power tools Understand basic measurements Follow written and verbal instructions Perform physically demanding work throughout a 10-hour shift Work on different projects and tasks as production needs change Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality Carpentry Experience Is a Major Plus Previous carpentry experience is highly desirable for this department. Candidates with experience in any of the following may transition well into this position: Carpentry Construction Framing Cabinet or millwork assembly Manufacturing Mechanical assembly Fabrication Maintenance Skilled trades HVAC-related production General hands-on construction or production work Formal carpentry experience is not required for every candidate, but you should be comfortable measuring materials, using tools, working with your hands, and learning how components fit together. Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding position.
Candidates must be comfortable:
Lifting and carrying 75+ pounds Standing and walking for the majority of a 10-hour shift Bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, and squatting Pushing, pulling, positioning, and maneuvering heavy materials Using hand and power tools repeatedly throughout the workday Working in different physical positions while assembling equipment Performing repetitive and non-repetitive physical tasks Working as part of a team when handling larger or heavier components Applicants should understand the physical expectations of the position before applying. Work Environment & Safety This position is located inside a primarily climate-controlled manufacturing facility . The production environment includes machinery, tools, large materials, moving equipment, and normal manufacturing noise. Employees are expected to follow all company safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment.
