Orthotic Fabricator (Willing to train. No experience req.) Arch Fitters Description Arch Fitters is a manufacturing facility for arch supports serving doctors around the nation. We offer exciting employee benefits such as competitive pay, health benefits, PTO, 401K, and scheduled pay increases. As an Orthotic Fabricator, you will join a production team that creates custom insoles. Your day may include some or all of the following: Gluing sheets of foam materials Gluing additional custom shaped foam pieces to plastic arch supports Laminating foam materials to plastic insoles Cutting insoles to shoe size Grinding arch supports to particular dimensions Deburring rough edges of plastic Use of a bandsaw to obtain certain shapes Use of a vacuum press to form plastic insoles into foot shape Operating a CNC machine to cut wooden impressions of foot shape Measuring and matching work to specific dimensions using tools such as calipers and templates The workday begins at 5:00am and is finished when all work orders submitted have been complete and there is no carry over.
Requirements:
Requirements 18 years or older
Dependable:
Show up and show up on time Able to work in an industrial environment Able to wear a dust mask all day Able to stand on concrete for 10+ hours a day Speak/read/write fluently in English Able to work Tuesday - Friday, 5:00am-3pm
Additional Preferred Skills:
Able to use bench grinders and bandsaws Able to measure with calipers and tape measure Ability to convert inches to millimeters Ability to detect unlevel and imperfect surfaces Experience using CNC milling machines
