Production Assembler $17-$22 Job Description This role focuses on assembling electronic products by hand-placing small components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) and building chassis assemblies in an electronics manufacturing environment. You will work primarily at a seated workstation, following basic work orders and diagrams to ensure components are placed accurately and assemblies meet quality standards. This is an entry-level opportunity that requires strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and an interest in developing skills in electronic assembly. Responsibilities Work at a designated assembly station, primarily in a seated position, to assemble electronic products. Hand place small components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) according to work orders and instructions. Follow basic work orders and visual diagrams to identify correct component locations and orientations. Cut and form (prep) components prior to installation to meet specified dimensions and configurations. Perform manual placement of through-hole (THT) components on PCBs. Assemble chassis components using a variety of hardware and hand tools. Use hand tools safely and effectively to complete assembly tasks. Visually inspect assemblies and components for accuracy, quality, and proper placement. Read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, drawings, or technical documentation as needed for assembly tasks. Handle electronic components and assemblies in an ESD-controlled environment, following all safety and handling procedures. Support general production and assembly tasks as needed within the materials and manufacturing areas. Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all safety, quality, and production guidelines. Essential Skills Ability to follow written work orders and visual instructions accurately. Strong attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination for precise component placement. Hands-on experience or strong aptitude for working with PCB rework, soldering, and electronics troubleshooting (experience can be gained on the job). Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical documentation. Familiarity with electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits (ICs), and connectors (can be learned on the job). Comfort using hand tools in an assembly or production environment. Ability to perform visual inspection to verify quality and correctness of assemblies. Willingness to work in an electronics manufacturing environment and follow ESD and safety protocols. Reliability in adhering to assigned shift hours and overtime as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Interest in growing into other assembly and technician roles as skills develop. Willingness to learn PCB rework, soldering techniques, and electronics troubleshooting on the job. Openness to cross-training in different assembly areas within the production environment. Ability to work both independently at a station and collaboratively within a production team. Work Environment Work takes place in an ESD-controlled electronics manufacturing environment, primarily within the materials area. Safety glasses are required at all times in this area, and ESD handling procedures must be followed to protect sensitive electronic components. The role involves working at an assembly station, often seated for extended periods, handling small components and using hand tools. The primary schedule is a daylight shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with the possibility of up to one hour of overtime per day and no regular weekend work. There is also a second shift option from Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with Friday overtime offered for an 8-hour shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The facility is structured, safety-focused, and designed to support consistent, high-quality electronics production. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hunker, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
