Job Description
Job Title:
Assembler Job Description This role focuses on producing high-quality components and complete assemblies by accurately assembling various parts. You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, using basic production knowledge to ensure all products meet established specifications and standards. Responsibilities Assemble components and complete units such as upright reach-in coolers, milk coolers, beer line chillers, and scientific systems according to established specifications and work instructions. Read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics to ensure correct assembly and proper configuration of all parts. Apply basic brazing principles as needed during the assembly process to ensure secure and reliable connections. Use hand tools and measuring devices, including tape measures, to verify dimensions and ensure assemblies meet required tolerances. Monitor and track parts as they move through the assembly line to maintain workflow, avoid shortages, and support on-time completion of products. Follow all assigned tasks from supervisors and managers, including taking direction from any supervisor or manager in the absence of the immediate supervisor. Maintain consistent punctuality and attendance, adhering to scheduled work hours of 7:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., and meet assigned deadlines. Train and cross-train in multiple disciplines within the assembly area to support flexibility and coverage across different operations. Lift and handle materials and components weighing up to 50 pounds safely and efficiently. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient production environment. Essential Skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining accuracy and quality. Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Proficiency in reading and using a tape measure to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet specifications. Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively during assembly operations. Basic understanding of manufacturing and production processes to ensure assemblies meet proper specifications. Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical schematics. Strong punctuality and attendance, with reliability in following through on assignments and meeting deadlines. Willingness to take direction from multiple supervisors or managers as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating a shear is preferred and will be considered an asset. Familiarity with brazing basics in a manufacturing or assembly environment. Experience working in production, assembly, or warehouse environments. Comfort working with a variety of hand tools and basic shop equipment. Willingness to train in multiple disciplines across the assembly domain to build broader skill sets. Ability to work collaboratively with others in a team-oriented environment. Why Work Here? Work Environment The facility operates as a well-organized, collaborative manufacturing environment where team members work closely to keep production running smoothly. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., providing a consistent daytime schedule. The facility is not air conditioned and can become warm in the summer, but it is cooled with fans to help manage the temperature. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, work pants or jeans, and a t-shirt, reflecting a practical, safety-focused production setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Telford, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
