About the Role As a Structural Steel Assembler, you will play a vital role in transforming raw materials into high-quality finished products by interpreting complex technical designs. Your craftsmanship will directly impact the structural integrity and precision of our projects, ensuring every component meets rigorous industry standards. Responsibilities Interpret detailed blueprints and shop drawings to execute precise metal assembly. Perform accurate layout, cutting, drilling, and grinding of steel components to meet project specifications. Execute high-quality tack and finish welding to secure structural assemblies. Verify critical dimensions, angles, and tolerances to ensure perfect fit-up before final completion. Operate essential fabrication machinery including saws, torches, and power tools with a focus on safety. Proactively identify and resolve fit-up challenges to maintain production efficiency. Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace to support high-output operations. Qualifications Required Skills Proven professional experience in steel fabrication and component fitting. Advanced ability to read and translate technical fabrication drawings. Proficiency with precision measuring tools and layout techniques. Demonstrated experience with MIG, TIG, or Flux-Cored welding processes. Capability to perform physically demanding tasks and handle heavy materials safely. Preferred Skills Hands-on experience with structural elements like beams, columns, stairs, and railings. Prior experience operating forklifts in a shop environment. Background in custom metal fabrication or complex frame assembly. Strong commitment to quality control and continuous process improvement.
