Job Description
About B.O.S. Lock Headquartered in Florida, B.O.S. Lock is the creator of the world's first biometric slide lock with an integrated light and laser. After a sold-out debut at SHOT Show 2026, we are scaling rapidly and looking for a high-energy intern to help us take the Fusion nationwide. Build the product. Improve the process. Grow with the company. B.O.S. Lock manufactures a biometric firearm safety device built for responsible firearm owners who refuse to compromise between security and readiness. We are looking for someone who takes pride in building things the right way. Someone who can execute precise mechanical assembly work today, while helping us improve and scale the systems behind it tomorrow. This is not a passive assembly role. We want someone who notices inefficiencies, catches quality issues before they become problems, and actively contributes to making the process better. You will work directly with leadership, help shape the assembly workflow, and play a real role in how this company scales. If you are mechanically sharp, self-directed, and care deeply about the quality of your work, we want to talk to you.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for the end-to-end mechanical assembly of the Fusion Series, from individual components to finished units ready for shipment. This role starts on the floor, but there is room to grow into much more for the right person. We are building systems, documentation, workflows, and eventually a larger production operation. The people who help build those systems early will have opportunities to grow with the company. You will not be micromanaged here. We value ownership, initiative, and people who naturally look for better ways to do things.WHAT YOU WILL DO
Execute precise mechanical assembly of the Fusion Series to company quality standards Maintain consistency and quality compliance across every unit produced Assist with kitting, component organization, inventory tracking, and shipping preparation Identify workflow inefficiencies and contribute ideas for improving production processes Maintain a clean, organized, and production-ready workspace at all times Help document assembly knowledge, notes, and evolving SOPs as processes mature Work closely with leadership as we continue refining and scaling production systemsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 2-5
years of hands-on mechanical assembly, fabrication, maintenance, or technical experience Background in aviation, automotive, manufacturing, military, plant maintenance, or similar technical environments preferred Ability to read technical drawings, assembly instructions, and schematics Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work Self-directed work ethic, able to operate independently without constant oversight Mechanically curious mindset, you want to understand how and why things work Comfortable working in an early-stage environment where processes continue evolvingNICE TO HAVE
Exposure to CAD software such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360 Experience following or creating SOPs and process documentation Experience with biometric, electronic, or precision hardware assembly Interest in process improvement, manufacturing systems, or production scalingCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Compensation will be based on experience, mechanical aptitude, and demonstrated ability. Benefits include PTO eligibility, performance reviews at 90 days and 6 months, and growth opportunities tied directly to contribution and output.GROWTH PATH
We are intentionally building this company with long-term growth in mind. The right person in this role can grow beyond assembly into process development, training, production leadership, or manufacturing systems support as the company scales. We would rather promote someone who has already proven themselves in the business than hire externally later. Your ceiling here will be determined far more by your initiative and contribution than by your starting title.HOW TO APPLY
Send your resume along with a short note answering this question: What is the most complex mechanical assembly, repair, or technical problem you have personally worked on, and what made it challenging? Keep it direct. No cover letter templates. We read every submission ourselves.Pay:
