Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow computer-generated prompts to track production activity and work order status.
- Assemble self-aligning tooling, shim tooling, and 4-post tooling according to specifications.
- Inspect tooling for proper fit, timing, wear, and defects prior to release for production.
- Complete repair documentation and reports for non-conforming tooling.
- Maintain tooling readiness to support press room operations and achieve 85% or greater First Run Success rates.
- Review production routers to determine appropriate press assignments and tooling requirements.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and sharpen tooling as needed.
- Follow verbal and written work instructions and procedures.
- Enter and maintain accurate repair and tooling information in computer systems.
- Consistently perform work in accordance with quality standards and established processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area through routine housekeeping activities.
- Follow all safety rules, regulations, and safe work practices.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to assemble, inspect, repair, and maintain manufacturing tooling.
- Proficiency in using measuring instruments and inspection tools.
- Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements and calculations.
- Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Basic computer skills for work order tracking and documentation.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.
