PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Eaton is currently seeking a Senior Flex Assembly Associate to join our team. This position is based at our Sumter, SC facility. The pay rate for this position is $23.00 per hour. This role is on B Shift, Monday through Thursday, from 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. In the senior flex assembly role, you will refer to diagrams and blueprints to correctly wire, assemble and install metal bus bars and other internal components of a switchboard. You will effectively communicate and work with members of a team to complete work assignments and meet safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity goals. This is a flexed position meaning that you will complete both wiring and bus assignments in the same shift based on production schedules.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Work from manufacturing information such as front views, bill of materials, drawings, blueprints, order entry systems, and oral or written instructions in order to assemble metal bus bars and other components of a switchboard and proactively identify missing components.
- Utilize various hand tools, such as wire strippers and plyers to perform the electrical wiring assembly, and a tape measure to accurately measure and install material.
- Be responsible for understanding power flow and referencing guidelines in order to comply with regulations when wiring switchboards.
- Maintain expected progress of jobs in area of assignment and communicate problem areas or part shortages.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement as well as complete root cause analysis in response to issues with quality or production.
- Be responsible for quality, including visual inspections of material before and after assembly and wiring, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors.
- Contribute to a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture by complying with all policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment, and performing 5S duties.

Qualifications:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- 1 year of manufacturing or operations experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Working knowledge of Lean concepts.
- 1 year of experience in Bus assembly operation
- 1 year of experience in Switchboard wiring
- Experience with Eaton systems including order entry (Vista), material management (DMM), MRP/ERP (AS400) ##
