Assembly Technician Job Description Are you experienced in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing environment and seeking a stable, long-term opportunity? Join a growing semiconductor company as an Assembly Technician, where you will specialize in assembling electro-mechanical devices used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. Your ability to follow manufacturing drawings and schematics, along with using mechanical hand tools, will be essential. Responsibilities Operate tools to perform assembly in a cleanroom environment. Make minor setups of equipment in assigned areas. Review production data to identify potential areas of non-conformance. Perform tests or quality checks on assembled units as needed. Interpret drawings to identify necessary modifications and improvements. Work under direct supervision. Essential Skills 2+ years of recent mechanical assembly experience, preferably within the semiconductor industry. Skilled in the operation of a variety of assembly tools. Visual acuity and manual dexterity. Ability to clearly explain past job experiences. Additional Skills & Qualifications Vocational or technical training preferred. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment involves two 2nd shift positions from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with potential overtime and some Saturdays required. Candidates must be comfortable working in a cleanroom and wearing full cleanroom attire, which includes a full gown. This is a 90-business-day contract-to-hire opportunity. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
