This is a hands-on position responsible for fabricating and preparing glass and related materials to ensure our field teams have accurate, high-quality products ready for installation. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, works well in a fast-paced shop environment, and understands that quality and accuracy matter.
Schedule Monday-Friday:
7:30 AM until the job is complete, typically between 4:30 PM-6:00 PM Rotating Saturdays Pay $18.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience. What You'll Do Fabricate, cut, prepare, and assemble glass and related materials according to job specifications Read and follow measurements, work orders, and fabrication instructions accurately Operate shop tools, machinery, and equipment safely Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and defects Prepare completed materials for delivery and installation Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area Properly handle and store glass to minimize damage and waste Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials as needed Communicate with team members when measurements, materials, or job specifications appear incorrect Follow all company safety procedures and equipment requirements Help the shop team wherever needed to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on time What We're Looking For Previous fabrication, glass, construction, manufacturing, or shop experience preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to work from precise measurements Comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment Ability to work in a physically active environment and safely lift and move materials Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work independently while also being part of a team Willingness to learn and grow within the company Commitment to safety, quality, and getting the job done right Benefits We offer a strong benefits package for eligible full-time employees, including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees who choose to participate Company-paid short-term disability Company-paid long-term disability Company-paid life insurance 8 paid holidays 2 weeks of paid time off Additional PTO earned with each anniversary Our HIGHER Standard At Glass Doctor of North Texas, we expect our team members to operate according to our HIGHER values: H — Here to Serve We look for opportunities to help our customers and each other.
