Job Description
Gojob is hiring a LTC Technician in Dallas, TX . We are seeking an experienced LTC Technician / Technical Trainer to support Load Tap Changer (LTC) assembly, overhaul, testing, troubleshooting, and controls activities. This role will also provide technical training and mentoring to internal employees, service teams, engineers, and customers. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on LTC experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts. This is a
Direct Hire Opportunity Pay/Shift:
$31-$40/hr with eligibility for 5% quarterly bonus Mon-Fri, 6am-2:45pm with very limited daily orSaturday OT Responsibilities:
Assemble, disassemble, repair, and overhaul Load Tap Changers Perform mechanical/electrical testing (HiPot, TTR, Ductor, Megger) and troubleshoot LTC mechanical, electrical, control, alarm, and interlock systems Read schematics/drawings, perform circuit tracing and verification, and mark up drawings Support LTC oil processing Develop and deliver technical training (classroom, hands-on, lab) train and mentor operations, engineering, service staff, and customers Maintain training materials, SOPs, and job aids evaluate trainee knowledge and skills Prepare technical/test reports and training documentation Serve as SME for LTC systems support safety, quality, and continuous improvement collaborate acrossOperations, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Sales/Marketing Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED 5+ years' experience with power transformers and Load Tap Changers in utility, OEM, service, transmission, distribution, or generation environments Strong knowledge of LTC assembly/refurbishment, electrical testing and diagnostics, controls, interlocks, alarms, and transformer auxiliary systems Able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication (written/verbal) skills Experience preparing technical reports Able to stand for extended periods lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs and operate tools and light machineryPreferred Qualifications:
Technical certification or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical disciplines. Previous technical training or mentoring experience. Experience working with multiple LTC manufacturers.
