Job Description

This position is responsible for installing aftermarket truck and van accessories while ensuring quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience with hand and power tools, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow installation instructions and manufacturer specifications. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment. Monday - Friday 8am-5pm Essential Duties & Responsibilities Install aftermarket truck accessories including: Bed covers Toolboxes Running boards Nerf bars and side steps Grille guards Hitches and towing accessories Vehicle lighting and related accessories Assemble and install shelving, racks, and storage systems in commercial vans. Read and interpret installation instructions, diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer guidelines. Perform quality inspections on completed installations to ensure proper fit, function, and appearance. Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues efficiently. Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment. Assist with loading, unloading, and moving large accessories and materials. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Communicate progress and installation updates to the Shop Supervisor. Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer requirements. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience in:
Automotive repair Automotive accessory installation Mechanical assembly Truck upfitting Production or fabrication environments Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Experience using both standard and metric tools. Ability to read and follow technical instructions and installation manuals. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience installing truck accessories and aftermarket automotive products. Automotive vocational training or technical education. Experience with electrical wiring, lighting installations, or vehicle modifications. Ability to provide personal tools (not required but preferred). Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 lbs regularly. Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and standing throughout the shift. Ability to work in a shop environment with exposure to tools, machinery, and varying temperatures. Manual dexterity to safely operate hand and power tools.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
