The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling and packaging bed components and related products in a manufacturing environment. This role involves working with wood, plastic, and metal components, following assembly instructions, conducting quality inspections, and ensuring finished products meet company standards for safety and craftsmanship.
Pay:
$31,200 - $37,440 annually, depending on experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble component parts used in the production of beds and related furniture products.
Assemble and package items including headboards, safety rails, frames, support components, and hardware kits.
Read and follow work orders, assembly instructions, and daily production schedules.
Inspect wood, plastic, and metal components for defects, damage, or quality concerns before and during assembly.
Perform quality checks to verify dimensions, fit, finish, and overall product quality.
Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment safely and effectively.
Package finished components according to customer and company specifications to prevent damage during transport.
Ensure proper labeling, identification, and organization of parts and finished products.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Report material shortages, equipment issues, quality concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors. Qualifications Previous manufacturing experience in furniture and construction strongly preferred.
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
Strong commitment to quality and workplace safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements
