JOB SUMMARY PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION
Ultravation assemblers build parts for small or light sub-assemblies, test/calibrate parts for assembly units, and work collaboratively with team members and leaders. Identifying units that do not meet quality standards, repairing, and/or reporting is an important aspect of the position.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Follow all safety rules. Read Build Instructions and verify parts required prior to assembly. Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies. Including subassemblies, wiring, assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, or soldering equipment. Assemble components accurately, thoroughly and quickly to approved specifications. Test all assembly/subassembly to ensure proper functioning. Mark all products, assembly/subassembly as stated in Build Instructions. Maintain appropriate levels of inventory, anticipate supply needs and request stock in advance. Maintain safe and clean working environment. Comply with all procedures, rules, and regulations. Double-check connections to ensure they match Perform all quality checks. Inform team lead, supervisor or plant manager of any defective part or equipment to ensure quick resolution Keep equipment operational by completing any required preventative maintenance, following manufacturer's instructions and promptly report any malfunctions to supervisor/plant manager. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, not required. Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Bending or twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, climbing, and walking. Safely moving or lifting objects up to 50 pounds. Use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls. Ability to respond quickly to sounds, recognize and respond to dangerous situations.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people on production floor. Exposure to sounds and noise levels that may be distracting.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
(PPE) Safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves and masks depending on work areas.
