Description
We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented General Assembler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will assemble complex 3D parts from flat pieces of sheet metal for commercial ovens. You'll be responsible for using a variety of tools and equipment to assemble parts and products according to specifications and work orders. Duties and Responsibilities
Assemble bottom sheets, insulation boards, interior liners, sides, tops, and backs of convection ovens using pre-assembled frames.
Select and fasten oven parts using appropriate pneumatic and manual tools, jigs, and fixtures.
Apply final finishes such as doors, racks, and trim accessories to all stainless steel ovens.
Install assembled components in ovens.
Read and follow basic Bill of Materials and blueprints.
Maintain the pace and build stations correctly with a strong attention to detail.
Provide assistance in other areas, including insulating, welding, final assembly, blending, and crating.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Able to follow direct instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Essential Functions
Adept at working with hand and power tools and a variety of measuring instruments, including voltmeters, calipers, and a spot gun.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs., and perform physical tasks such as bending, sitting, and standing repeatedly.
Strong knowledge of shop measurement techniques.
Able to read oven orders and understand which parts are required to go with ovens.
Able to work with engineering and wire prototype assemblies following verbal directions.
Able to work and interact in a "Team" oriented department.
