Job Description

Nigrelli, Inc. is a locally owned manufacturing company based in the Kiel/School Hill area. Our AquaMaster division has manufactured high-quality fountains and aeration systems since 1983. We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Assembly Technician to join our production team. This position assembles a variety of AquaMaster products, including AquaAir aeration units, large-horsepower fountains, fixed-base units, custom products, wiring harnesses, and other mechanical and electrical subassemblies. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, can work from drawings and written instructions, and enjoys troubleshooting and building a variety of products. Schedule Full-time position Monday through Friday No rotating shifts Compensation Compensation is based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications What You'll Do Assemble AquaAir units, fixed-base units, custom products, and large fountain units ranging from 7.5 to 25 horsepower Complete assemblies according to drawings, specifications, and work instructions Build small electrical and mechanical subassemblies Cut and strip cable to produce wiring harnesses Assemble ALC disconnects and pot electrical connections with epoxy as required Diagnose, disassemble, test, and rebuild compressors Communicate with Product Services regarding compressor testing and repairs Engrave and assemble fountain nozzles Match serial numbers for parts and completed assemblies Assemble custom units and product add-ons that are not normally stocked Assist the Repairs department with replacing components on large units Verify the accuracy of drawings and work instructions and communicate needed changes Verify bill of materials accuracy and report discrepancies Process production jobs in the company's ERP system Move completed assemblies to Quality Inspection, Shipping, or designated storage locations Operate a forklift to transport completed units and materials Provide training and guidance to other assembly employees Conduct service-school training sessions when requested Assist in other production departments based on business needs Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow company safety procedures and PPE requirements Perform other duties as assigned What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent Previous manufacturing, mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, equipment repair, or related experience preferred Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to read and follow drawings, specifications, and written work instructions Experience using hand and power tools Ability to assemble both standard and custom products Basic electrical wiring experience preferred Experience cutting and stripping cable, building wiring harnesses, or working with epoxy is helpful Basic computer skills and willingness to use an ERP system Ability to identify and communicate drawing, material, and bill of materials discrepancies Ability to train and assist other employees Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic Forklift experience preferred; training may be provided Why Work for Nigrelli, Inc.? Employees may be required to climb on and off a forklift. The position requires frequently lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 75 pounds. Mechanical assistance or team lifting must be used for items weighing more than 50 pounds. Employees must possess the visual ability necessary to inspect parts, complete detailed assembly work, and safely operate tools and equipment. Safety shoes, safety glasses, and any other company-designated personal protective equipment are required.
