• Job Title: Assembler/Welder
• Job Description
• We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assembler/Welder to join the Enclosure Department. In this role, you will perform both assembly and light welding tasks on large enclosures, ensuring components are accurately installed and securely fastened according to drawings and work instructions.
• Responsibilities
• + Assemble enclosure panels and components according to drawings, blueprints, prints, and detailed work instructions.

+ Perform light MIG welding tasks as required, representing approximately 15% of the role, while consistently welding within defined parameters.

+ Complete and pass weld qualification tests as required to demonstrate competency and adherence to quality standards.

+ Measure, cut, and install insulation materials such as Rockwool in accordance with specifications.

+ Install and secure materials including perforated sheet metal, plastic panels, and insulation to create complete enclosure assemblies.

+ Use hand and power tools such as clamps, impact drivers, drills, and measuring tools safely and effectively during assembly and welding operations.

+ Ensure all components are properly aligned, fastened, and securely installed to meet structural and quality requirements.

+ Work collaboratively within a 3-4-person team to meet production goals and maintain efficient workflow.

+ Inspect finished assemblies for quality, accuracy, and completeness, identifying and addressing any defects or inconsistencies.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by following established housekeeping and safety practices.

+ Follow written and verbal instructions accurately to complete tasks in the correct sequence and within required timeframes.

+ Meet the physical demands of the role, including stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, walking, and standing throughout the shift.

• Essential Skills
• + 1 to 5+ years of current and directly related MIG welding experience.

+ Strong blueprint and drawing reading skills for assembly and welding tasks.

+ Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

+ Hands-on experience using common hand tools and power tools such as clamps, impact drivers, drills, and measuring tools.

+ Capability to meet the physical demands of welding and assembly work, including stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, walking, and standing.

+ Attention to detail to ensure proper alignment, fastening, and secure installation of components.

+ Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively in a 3-4-person production team.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + Experience assembling structural enclosures or similar fabricated products.

+ Familiarity with installing insulation materials such as Rockwool.

+ Comfort working with perforated sheet metal, plastic panels, and other enclosure materials.

+ Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to address fit-up and alignment issues.

+ Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Work Environment
• This role is based in a hands-on manufacturing and assembly environment on 1st and 2nd shift, working within a 3-4-person team.

You will regularly use MIG welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools such as clamps, impact drivers, drills, and measuring devices while assembling large enclosures. The work involves physical activity, including stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, walking, and standing for extended periods. The area is organized to support safe and efficient production, with an emphasis on maintaining cleanliness and following safety practices appropriate for a fabrication and welding shop

• This is a Permanent position based out of Manitowoc, WI.
• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $23.

00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
