Fabrication Floater, You Will:
Master the setup and operation of industrial drilling and milling machinery to perform precise cutting, forming, punching, notching, and other fabrication processes according to customer orders. Become proficient in selecting and setting up the correct tooling, including accurate stop gauge adjustments. Work directly from blueprints and customer specifications to ensure precise execution. Conduct thorough quality checks using visual inspection, templates, samples, and fixed gauges. Be a key contributor to maintaining efficient production by promptly identifying and reporting any equipment malfunctions or tooling problems. Expand your skillset through cross-training on various production equipment. Uphold our commitment to safety and environmental responsibility by adhering to all regulations and procedures. Operate additional production machines as required to meet production demands. Accurately track your work hours using the designated terminal. Ensure timely completion of jobs while meeting all customer specifications. Take pride in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. Proactively observe and communicate potential issues with workflow, materials, or parts. Become knowledgeable in and follow all procedures within the punch press area.What You'll Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to understand basic blueprints and/or specifications. Fundamental knowledge of structural fabrication techniques. Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity. 6-12 months of experience in operating production machinery. Familiarity with basic quality control and inspection tools. Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to stand for extended periods during a regular work shift. Commitment to wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE). Excellent reading, writing, and verbal communication skills to understand work instructions, orders, and specifications.Job Type:
