Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Production Manager
  • Manufacturing to join our client's thriving operation.
This role is critical to the daily success of manufacturing and packaging activities and requires a hands-on leader who excels in fast-paced, high-volume production environments. Position Summary Highly driven, hands-on Production Manager responsible for leading first-shift manufacturing and packaging operations. This role is primarily floor-based and accountable for safety, quality, delivery, labor performance, and continuous improvement in a high-speed production environment. Key Responsibilities Lead daily manufacturing and packaging operations Manage multiple production and assembly lines Maintain a strong production floor presence (approximately 85%) Oversee gravity filling and rotary filling processes Track, analyze, and improve KPIs including OEE, OTD, throughput, downtime, and changeover time Lead, coach, and develop operators, line leads, and supervisors Supervise approximately 25 full-time employees and 15-20 temporary associates Manage labor utilization, staffing levels, and employee timekeeping Champion workplace safety, compliance, and incident prevention Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Support peak production season (June-September), including occasional Saturday work Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, or a related field preferred Bilingual in Spanish and English (read and write) required Hands-on experience with gravity filling and rotary filling equipment Assembly line experience in bottling, liquid, plastics, or similar manufacturing environments Experience in personal beauty, personal care, cosmetics, or liquid product manufacturing preferred Background in high-speed consumer goods or packaging operations preferred Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification preferred Experience managing seasonal and/or temporary labor preferred Ability to work extended periods on the production floor Ability to work first-shift hours starting at 5:30 AM Production Manager
