Position Summary We are seeking a results-driven Program Manager to own strategic customer relationships and lead complex manufacturing programs from design-in and new product introduction (NPI) through order execution, production ramp, and mass production. This role will coordinate engineering, supply chain, quality, operations, production, sales, and external suppliers to deliver electromechanical or complex hardware products on schedule and within cost, quality, revenue, and performance targets. The ideal candidate combines commercial judgment, strong program ownership, data-driven decision-making, and executive communication with direct work experience at a contract or subcontract manufacturing company serving external customers. Experience in electromechanical or complex hardware manufacturing is highly valued. Key Responsibilities Own strategic customer relationships and order management from opportunity and design-in through delivery and revenue realization. Develop strong relationships with key customer decision-makers, understand business and technical needs, and coordinate solutions that create measurable customer value. Lead end-to-end manufacturing programs from NPI, pilot builds, and qualification through production ramp and mass production. Define program scope, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and resource plans; manage multiple workstreams and drive accountability across cross-functional teams. Coordinate engineering, sales, supply chain, quality, production, and operations activities to meet build schedules, customer commitments, and business objectives. Coordinate internal manufacturing operations and external suppliers and subcontractors to ensure production readiness, capacity, material availability, electromechanical assembly, quality performance, schedule adherence, cost control, and timely issue resolution. Own RFQs and coordinate accurate, competitive, and timely responses; negotiate commercial terms, support effective pricing, win new business, and drive profitable growth. Track orders, revenue, KPIs, build status, risks, and corrective actions; communicate critical objectives, decisions, and recommendations to executives, customers, and stakeholders. Balance cost, quality, schedule, performance, and customer priorities while managing changes, escalations, and expectations. Partner with purchasing and supply chain teams on procurement, demand planning, inventory health, material readiness, replenishment, and excess-and-obsolete risk. Identify bottlenecks, process gaps, and systemic risks, then lead mitigation and continuous-improvement initiatives that improve throughput, cycle time, scalability, and on-time delivery. Provide market, customer, and program insights to management in support of business planning and strategic decision-making. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply chain, operations, marketing, or a related field. Three to five years of experience in program management, product management, product line management, or a related customer-facing role in contract manufacturing or complex hardware manufacturing. Direct work experience at a contract manufacturing or subcontract manufacturing company, supporting manufacturing programs for external customers. Strong understanding of contract manufacturing operations and electromechanical assembly. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams across engineering, sales, supply chain, purchasing, quality, production, and operations. Experience with customer relationship management, order execution, RFQs, pricing, negotiation, and revenue realization. Working knowledge of NPI, production ramp, build planning, manufacturing KPIs, risk management, and corrective-action processes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with executives, customers, engineers, and manufacturing teams. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a track record of strategic decision-making in a fast-paced business environment. Collaborative, team-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve ambiguity, and drive timely system-level solutions. Preferred Qualifications Experience in semiconductor, capital equipment, industrial equipment, electronics, or other complex hardware manufacturing is preferred. Experience supporting purchasing and procurement processes across cross-functional operations. Experience supporting global customers, suppliers, or manufacturing sites. Knowledge of inventory optimization, material planning, and production capacity management. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP, MRP, inventory, or production-tracking systems.
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
