Job Description

A confidential aerospace manufacturing employer is seeking a Manufacturing Manager I to lead our production operations with energy and precision. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of specific manufacturing department(s), ensuring that the manufacturing department(s) meets its responsibilities by producing quality products in a timely manner to ensure that delivery schedules are met and that customers receive their product on time. Summary of Duties o Manage and control the activities of the manufacturing floor o Manage the day-to-day production activities of assigned department(s) o Manage headcount and labor variances o Manage data integrity and capacity requirements o Hire, manage and coordinate training and integration of new employees into the workforce o Develop department's skill level as needed to ensure production of quality products, including cross training o Work with Procurement to identify manufacturing and material problems, identify causes and implement corrective measures o Work with Material Planning to drive weekly manufacturing plan o Maintain a safe working environment for the manufacturing floor o Recognize the needs of manufacturing by ordering department supplies and parts are on hand to meet production needs o Interface with management of engineering, operations, Quality Assurance and manufacturing, either verbally or with written documentation and reports o Work with quality and engineering institute corrective actions. o Participate in technical discussions and activities related to new product development and production o Perform other duties as assigned by
Management Desired Experience:
A manufacturing manager professional with 5 years of overall experience in CNC machining/programming, with 3 years' minimum experience in managing a manufacturing department in an aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge from a metal-based manufacturing environment using metal forming (forging, swaging, flow forming), and CNC machining 4 and 5-axis. Familiarity with Inventor and Master CAM/Veri cut software would be helpful.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Manufacturing Engineering or related field is preferred but not required or combination of education and related experience at the discretion of the hiring manager
Compensation:
Base salary range of $85,000 - $105,000 (this is an exempt position) This position is eligible for a annual discretionary bonus as approved by upper management, based on company & individual performance Join us to lead innovative manufacturing processes that shape the future of aerospace! Pay:
$85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
