NEOTech is a leading Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider building complex electronics for aerospace, defense, medical, and industrial customers. Our Chatsworth site needs a Supply Chain Director to lead purchasing and sourcing strategy, drive material cost reduction, and eliminate shortages. The goal is on-time customer delivery with inventory held at the right level. This role is for a seasoned EMS supply chain leader who knows electronic components, has managed buyer teams, and has consistently hit material cost reduction targets. What You'll Do Lead, mentor, and grow a team of purchasing and buying professionals Set and report on procurement metrics: supplier delivery and quality, buyer performance, AP, and shortage elimination Build a competitive global supply base by leveraging spend, standardization, and technology Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with key component and service suppliers Manage material flow, safety stock, reorder levels, and lead times with Plant Management Drive material savings initiatives aligned to the profit plan Provide sourcing and cost modeling support to New Program / NPI teams to meet target costs Develop and track supplier corrective action and recovery plans, and manage JIT and expedite sourcing Support the Counterfeit Parts Risk Mitigation Program and ensure RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 compliance What You Bring (Required) 7-10 years of progressive purchasing and sourcing experience in manufacturing, with a strong preference for EMS / contract electronics manufacturing Solid understanding of electronic components and commodities (passives, semiconductors, PCBs, interconnect, electromechanical) Proven track record meeting substantial material cost reduction targets Experience leading procurement teams in a mid- to large-size organization Working knowledge of
ISO 9001 / AS9100
purchasing requirements and ITAR Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, or equivalent experience U.S. Citizenship required (ITAR / CUI compliance) Preferred APICS (CPIM, CIRM), ISM (CPSM/C.P.M.), or MBA Experience in aerospace/defense EMS or a counterfeit-mitigation (AS5553/AS6081) environment Why NEOTech Medical, dental, and vision coverage; company-paid life/AD&D, short- and long-term disability; FSA and EAP; paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays; 401(k) with company match.
