Production Plant Manager at Bay Area California We are establishing a new assembly plant in the Bay Area and seek an experienced Plant Manager to lead this strategic initiative.Type :
Full-Time Role Overview Your mission is to build a lean, agile manufacturing hub that delivers UL/IEC-compliant, high-quality products while optimizing costs and fostering cross-functional collaboration between U.S. operations and global engineering teams. You will oversee the planning, construction, and daily management of our new assembly facility, which is focused on power distribution hardware production/assembly. Technical Expertise- Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
- Deep knowledge of power distribution hardware (PDUs, busways, connectors) production processes and
UL/ANSI/IEC
standards, and lean/automation integration.- Proven experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) for electrical enclosures and modular power systems. Key Responsibilities Team & Compliance Leadership
- Recruit and train technicians, and ERP/MES system operations.
- Ensure adherence to U.S. AU.S.bly/Made labeling requirements.. Plant Setup & Ramp-Up
- Lead site selection, facility layout implementation, and assembly line setup, ensuring compliance with
ISO9001, ISO
14001, OSHA, andISO 45001
standards.- Develop production/ assembly line workflows, integrating lean manufacturing principles. Supply Chain Localization
- Screen and qualify regional suppliers, reducing lead times.
- Manage inventory and align with JIT delivery models. Operational Excellence
- Implement rigorous quality control systems for safety testing, certification management (UL, CE, etc.), and product traceability.
- Drive manufacturing automation to maximize throughput. Leadership & Soft Skills
- Expertise in Six Sigma for defect reduction and OEE optimization in high-mix/low-volume environments.
- Ability to navigate cross-cultural teams and resolve high-stakes operational challenges.
