About the Opportunity We are a new and rapidly growing additive manufacturing company in Naples, Florida , building an advanced manufacturing operation focused on precision, quality, and customer satisfaction. We are looking for an experienced Quality Director to establish, lead, and continuously improve our quality organization as we scale. This is an opportunity for a hands-on quality professional to have a significant impact on the development of our Quality Management System, manufacturing processes, inspection capabilities, customer quality programs, and quality culture . The Quality Director will work closely with executive leadership, engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and customers to ensure that quality is built into every stage of the manufacturing process. This is not simply a compliance position. The successful candidate will help build the quality infrastructure of a growing advanced manufacturing company from the ground up. Key Responsibilities Quality Management System Lead the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the company-wide Quality Management System. Establish quality policies, procedures, work instructions, and processes consistent with applicable ISO requirements including AS9100 and
ISO13485.
Maintain quality-system documentation and ensure effective implementation throughout the organization. Serve as the company's management representative for management review and quality-system activities. Prepare for and manage internal, external, customer, and certification audits. Quality Assurance & Quality Control Lead all QA/QC activities and establish inspection standards appropriate for precision manufacturing. Develop and monitor quality performance metrics and use data to identify opportunities for improvement. Establish and maintain inspection procedures and ensure appropriate documentation of inspection results. Oversee First Article Inspection activities and ensure they are complete, accurate, and compliant with established procedures. Ensure inspection equipment is properly maintained, controlled, and calibrated. Establish and maintain an effective calibration program. Train quality personnel and manufacturing employees in inspection techniques, procedures, and proper use of measuring equipment. Corrective Action & Continuous Improvement Own the company's corrective action process for internal nonconformances, material issues, and customer complaints. Lead or oversee root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities. Track corrective actions through successful implementation and verify effectiveness. Analyze trends involving nonconforming material, corrective actions, customer complaints, and other quality data. Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to identify quality bottlenecks and improve production processes. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and defect prevention. Customer & Supplier Quality Serve as a key quality contact for customers. Respond to customer quality issues, complaints, nonconformances, and audit requirements. Participate in new-product and new-project reviews, including review of customer specifications and manufacturing capabilities. Support engineering change orders and other changes affecting product quality. Develop and maintain supplier quality requirements. Review supplier self-audits and support the maintenance of approved, provisional, and rejected supplier lists. Work directly with suppliers to resolve quality issues when necessary. Leadership Build and lead the quality function as the company grows. Establish quality priorities and allocate resources based on business and customer requirements. Hire, train, develop, and manage quality personnel as the organization expands. Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Sales to resolve quality issues. Provide quality-related input into strategic company planning. Promote a company-wide culture where quality, accountability, and customer satisfaction are core operating principles. What We're Looking For We are seeking an experienced quality professional who combines strong technical knowledge with practical manufacturing leadership .
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Approximately 3-5 years of QA/QC experience in an ISO-regulated manufacturing environment. At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience preferred. Strong knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control principles. Working knowledge of ISO13485 and AS9100 quality-management requirements. Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining a Quality Management System. Experience with internal, external, customer, and certification audits. Experience with corrective action, root-cause analysis, and nonconformance management. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Strong understanding of precision measurement equipment, including CMMs, calipers, ID/OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and Go/No-Go gauges. Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. Ideal Background Experience in additive manufacturing, aerospace, precision machining, advanced manufacturing, medical manufacturing, or another highly regulated/precision manufacturing environment is highly desirable. Experience working with AS9100 or other aerospace/advanced manufacturing quality systems would also be valuable. Spanish-language capability is a plus. The position may require:
Standing and walking for portions of the workday. Sitting for extended periods when performing administrative or analytical work. Fine manipulation and finger dexterity when working with inspection equipment. Occasional lifting of materials or equipment up to approximately 50 pounds.
