A Manufacturing Project Manager maintains relations between the manufacturing company and the clients to which it sells and distributes. They manage a variety of accounts and projects; they also assess new build plans, assess various procedures in the production process, and maintain an open line of communication with vendors and clients. The project manager works with the company's customers directly to assess and help meet their needs. In addition, the project manager has responsibilities in the direct manufacturing facility. They ensure that safety guidelines are met and any potential risks are eliminated.
Meta Power Solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of projects related to Switchboard, Transformer, and Containerized Switchboard products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical engineering and project management, with a proven track record in delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for projects involving Switchboard, Transformer, and Containerized Switchboard products.
Project Scheduling:
Coordinate and create schedules(MS Project) with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement/Logistics, Shipping/Receiving, and QC for all SWB projects.
Team Leadership:
Lead and manage cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and clients.
Client Interaction:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Technical Oversight:
Provide technical guidance and support during the design, development, and installation phases of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor project progress and quality, implementing necessary adjustments and improvements as needed.
Budget Management:
Oversee project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met and reporting on financial performance to senior management.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, schedules, and meeting notes, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of project status.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with industry trends and technologies to drive innovation and improve project delivery processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience as a Project Manager in the electrical industry, specifically with Switchboards, Transformers, and Containerized Switchboard products. Experience using MS project or other scheduling SW to create complete schedules. Strong understanding of electrical design principles and project management methodologies. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Ability to travel as needed for project site visits and client meetings.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and work in an office environment. Physical stamina to work long hours when necessary to meet project deadlines.
