- Impact We are looking for a full-time Production Manager who is responsible for leading the activities of the production team to meet or exceed production schedules, quality, and cost objectives.
What You'll Do:
Promote a safe work environment by following and enforcing all OSHA and regulatory standards (LOTO, working at heights, confined space, hot work, training, recordkeeping, etc.). Maintain food safety compliance, including SQF standards and good housekeeping practices. Provide clear leadership, coaching, and development to team members to meet safety, quality, and performance goals. Support employee recognition, discipline, development, and overall workforce health and safety. Review production KPIs with shift leaders; drive action plans to correct variances and achieve targets. Communicate daily with the Operations Manager and cross-functional teams to manage short-term production schedules. Ensure adherence to the quality management system and support a culture focused on delivering consistent, high-quality products. Assist with productivity measures, production/cost variance reviews, and problem‑solving to minimize operational delays. Apply lean/continuous improvement methods to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and improve on‑time delivery. Support all workplace safety policies, including reporting injuries, incidents, and hazards. Participate in required meetings. Perform other duties as assigned.What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Packaging or Management preferred (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of relevant experience; flexible packaging converting/printing experience preferred (flexo, lamination, thin‑gauge films). Experience with statistical analysis and Lean Manufacturing techniques. Strong communication skills; able to articulate ideas clearly at all levels. Highly organized, self‑directed, and able to prioritize multiple projects. Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills; quick learner in new processes and technologies. Professional certifications (optional/asset/mandatory based on role needs). Flexible, resilient, and solution‑oriented with a continuous improvement mindset. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage performance effectively. Strong project management capabilities. Personable, customer‑focused, and skilled at relationship building.
