Plant Manager - Solar Module Manufacturing Sundigo Solar Manufacturing Inc. Lyerly, Georgia | Full-time | On-site About the Company Sundigo Solar Manufacturing Inc. is a newly established solar manufacturing facility in Lyerly, Georgia. We are seeking an experienced manufacturing leader to help establish operations, build strong teams, and create a safe, accountable, and productive manufacturing culture. About the Role The Plant Manager will lead plant operations and be accountable for safety, product quality, production output, delivery performance, cost control, and workforce development. This role combines hands-on shop-floor leadership with management of department leaders, operating systems, budgets, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead daily plant operations and coordinate Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Materials, and EHS activities. Develop and execute production plans, staffing plans, and operating budgets aligned with business requirements. Establish and review plant KPIs, including safety, yield, scrap, downtime, OEE, labor productivity, and on-time delivery. Lead production ramp-up, capacity improvements, equipment readiness, and operational stabilization. Build, coach, and hold supervisors and department leaders accountable for performance and employee development. Implement standard operating procedures, structured training, shift handoffs, and daily performance reviews. Drive root-cause problem solving and continuous improvement using Lean manufacturing methods. Coordinate preventive maintenance, critical spare parts, and equipment recovery to minimize production interruptions. Strengthen material flow, inventory accuracy, product traceability, and production scheduling. Manage operating costs and capital improvement proposals, and report plant performance to company leadership. Partner with HR on hiring, workforce planning, employee relations, and retention. Maintain compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and quality requirements. Required Qualifications At least 8 years of manufacturing experience, including 3 or more years in a Plant Manager, Operations Manager, Production Manager, or comparable leadership role. Demonstrated experience leading supervisors or department managers and coordinating multiple manufacturing functions. Experience managing multi-shift operations, operating budgets, labor costs, and production performance. A record of measurable improvements in quality, productivity, delivery, safety, or manufacturing cost. Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing, root-cause analysis, preventive maintenance, and manufacturing KPIs. Strong communication, decision-making, and team-development skills. Ability to work on-site in Lyerly, Georgia and provide leadership support across operating shifts. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Solar module manufacturing experience. Experience in automotive, electronics, battery, or other automated manufacturing environments. Experience launching a facility, commissioning production lines, or increasing production capacity. Direct responsibility for plant financial performance and capital projects. Experience with ERP/MRP systems, quality management systems, and product traceability.

Compensation and Benefits Base salary:

$130,000-$170,000 per year, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.

Annual performance bonus:

Target of 15% of base salary, based on achievement of agreed-upon plant and individual performance goals, including safety, quality, delivery, cost management, and team development. Actual payout will depend on performance and the terms of the company's bonus plan. Benefits package details will be discussed during the interview process.
