A Manufacturing Project Manager maintains relations between the manufacturing company and the clients to which it sells and distributes. They manage a variety of accounts and projects; they also assess new build plans, assess various procedures in the production process, and maintain an open line of communication with vendors and clients. The project manager works with the company's customers directly to assess and help meet their needs. In addition, the project manager has responsibilities in the direct manufacturing facility. They ensure that safety guidelines are met and any potential risks are eliminated.

Job Description

Ensure the flawless launch of new electrification programs within U.S. divisions. Create comprehensive project plans that define the scope, timelines, costs, resources, and risks associated with the electrification program launch. Coordinate and provide leadership guidance to cross-functional teams, including engineers, manufacturing teams, quality assurance specialists, and suppliers, to achieve launch targets within established timelines and budgets. Work closely with suppliers to manage the quality, cost, and delivery of components and materials essential for the new product launch. Identify, analyze, and mitigate potential risks and obstacles that could jeopardize the launch schedule or quality standards. Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including senior management and customers, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns. Oversee the smooth transition of the program from development and launch activities to the ongoing production operations. Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes and procedures, applying lean manufacturing principles where applicable. Track all phases (including PPAP - Production Part Approval Process), ensuring compliance with quality and performance standards. Lead the identification, management, and resolution of technical issues encountered during development and launch phases, working with engineering and division teams.
