Type:

full-time A world-class, multi-billion-dollar industrial manufacturing organization seeks to hire a Senior Manager - Plant Operations at their flagship production facility West Michigan. Reporting to the General Manager for the site, this high-visibility position will provide hands-on operational leadership while also developing systems and processes to support longer-term strategic objectives. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide leadership across day-to-day manufacturing operations with accountability for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity outcomes. Lead and develop multi-disciplinary manufacturing teams, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. Manage end-to-end production flow, ensuring alignment between schedules, capacity, inventory, and customer commitments. Drive quarter-over-quarter operational improvements through lean manufacturing, process optimization, and Kaizen initiatives. Partner cross-functionally with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to improve throughput, margin, and customer satisfaction. Participate in operational budgeting, capital planning, and execution of approved improvement and automation projects. Monitor key operational metrics (scrap, efficiency, delivery, inventory, margin) and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while actively promoting a strong EHS culture.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required (engineering/technical is preferred). 8+ years of progressive experience within industrial manufacturing environments. 4+ years of formalized leadership responsibility. Extensive Lean/CI skillset with proven ability to implement these tools to drive operational performance improvements. Candidates must be US Citizens or US Green Card holders for consideration.
