Key Qualifications:

Current certification in Special Education, with additional credentials in educational administration or supervision preferred Prior experience as a Special Education Teacher and/or Education Director or Coordinator Strong understanding of special education laws, compliance standards, and individualized education plans (IEPs) Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills Ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and outside agencies to ensure appropriate student support Proven track record in developing and delivering training, supporting instructional staff, and fostering an inclusive environment

Primary Responsibilities:

Oversee all special education programs, operations, and compliance requirements within the district Supervise and support teaching staff, including providing guidance on IEP development and implementation Coordinate referrals, assessments, placements, and services for students with diverse needs Ensure regulatory compliance with state and federal mandates and maintain necessary documentation Serve as a liaison among educators, families, and external providers to optimize student success Lead professional development and training focused on best practices and instructional strategies
