Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence across our production facility. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of plant management, including production, quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a strategic leader, a visionary with extensive experience in manufacturing management, supply chain coordination, and team leadership. The Plant Manager will be responsible for ensuring efficient production schedules, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement to meet organizational goals. The right individual will need to not only the skill-sets but the ability to lead the manufacturing plant into the future! Duties Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality and safety standards. Develop and implement production schedules. Lead continuous improvement initiatives by applying Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and process improvement strategies. Manage supply chain activities including procurement, inventory control, and logistics to ensure seamless material flow. Utilize manufacturing management principles, a 5S philosophy, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for operational enhancement. Foster cross-functional communication among departments such as engineering, quality assurance, procurement, and logistics to streamline processes. Implement lean management practices to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance overall plant productivity. Lead team development efforts by providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to supervisors and staff. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness throughout the facility. Coordinate with upper management on production planning, capacity planning, and strategic initiatives. Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment; prior plant management experience preferred. Strong knowledge of SAP ERP systems, MRP modules, and manufacturing management software. Expertise in supply chain management, logistics coordination, and inventory control. Demonstrated ability in process improvement methodologies such as Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma. Formulate TQM meetings, the key point person in bringing together sales, operations, suppliers and their efforts. Proficiency in data analysis learn the EPICOR system. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster cross-functional collaboration. Solid understanding of quality control standards and safety regulations applicable to manufacturing plants. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Industrial Engineering or related field; advanced certifications such as Lean Six Sigma are advantageous.
